Homemade Italian Cookies

In the late 1800’s great grandpa Biagio’s home in Amalfi had little to offer except good food and an open door. His mama, Marie, made delicious cookies and pastries for her family. They were so wonderful, Biagio’s friends would come from across the village to play in front of his house, hoping to be rewarded with a treat. In time, Mama adopted two of the little boys who had no families of their own. When Biagio came to the U.S. in 1910 he brought along his two adopted brothers, as well as his mother’s recipes.
These recipes have been handed down through the generations.
